The behavioral migraine administration program contains demonstrations of migraine administration skills during four regular monthly clinic visits, that have been applied between periods by individuals through workbooks then, audiotape lessons, and guided house practice. Their analyses demonstrated that the addition of behavioral migraine administration to drug therapy significantly increased participants’ confidence within their ability to successfully self-manage migraine, in comparison to migraine medication therapy alone. Behavioral administration also increased individuals’ belief that migraines could be influenced by one’s personal behavior and reduced the fact that migraines are mainly influenced by possibility or fate.
